A sense of accomplishment and salary burning

Past few days I've been going to movies. It is summer in the US so this is the time all the fun movies come out, and I've wanted to watch a lot. And lucky me, I got people to go with me to the four movies I wanted to see this week.

Watched Kung Fu Panda first. Laugh and a half. Of course if you're not a Jack Black fan, don't go to this movie. The panda oozes Black, his comedy and the first utterance will definitely pinpoint to the comedian. His voice and Angelina Jolie's are the most recognizable for me, even the personality traits are somewhat what we think of the two actors. I did get a laugh when Karen leaned over the first few scenes and told me that Po (the panda) reminded her of my brother. And while we were walking down to dinner told me that she was reminded of Ren when Po turned around and showed his patched shorts.

Hulk was second on the list. Fun enough movie. The first thing i thought about was how were they gonna explain why his pants don't rip off. Well they did. Edward Norton(the Hulk) always bought the stretchiest pants he could find. It was okay. I do have a weakness for Edward Norton, and the cameo at the end had me weak at the knees.

The Happening was third, and even if we read such horrid reviews, we still went and watched the thing. One thing to say about this movie, it had me tensed up the whole way through. The absurdity of the circumstances and the lack of explanation had me up in my seat the whole time, with me being pissed at the end. I guess it just goes to show you, M. Night is an environmentalist. And he hates people.

Last was Narnia. I've only recently watched the first installment so i was curious. And the boys were so pretty. I liked that they were still kids. The visuals were amazing. Especially the beach. I wanted to jump right in. It was weird. They were all waiting for adults. I was too. Haha.

I felt such a sense of accomplishment after all those movies. It's been a long time since I could watch all the movies I wanted. I lost my movie buddy like a year ago and i've been a little behind on my movie watching since. Now i'm back. No specific movie buddy but i've found different people for different movies, for different days. My inner movie monster's back and i LOVE it.

Even if i do go broke from all these flicks.
